This elite mountain gymnastics program has continued to grow for the past 13 years and offers pre-beginner to intermediate/advanced level students the opportunity to learn a variety of tumbling, artistic, acrobatic and rhythmic skills both affordably and locally. Correct vocabulary, etiquette and execution of skills are taught in a fun and positive yet structured and safe manner that encourages self-confidence, agility, balance, coordination, strength and flexibility. Modern teaching aids, equipment, floor or air tumble-track mats and apparatus are utilized to assist students master a variety of tumbling, acrobatic, dance and apparatus skills. Students in larger classes will be divided by age and/or skill level into smaller groups to allow for more personalized instruction. Classes begin with stretch and warm up exercises and progress to balance skills (bridges, splits, scales, head and handstands) followed by technique instruction.

The Tumbling portion teaches a variety of rolls, cartwheels, round-offs, limbers, kickovers, walkovers and handsprings, etc.

 

The Artistic portion teaches a variety of skills and combinations on apparatus equipment (i.e. rings beam, barres, pommel horse).

 

The Rhythmic portion incorporates props such as ribbons, hoops and balls with tumbling skills and dance combinations.

 

The Acrobatic portion incorporates tumbling skills with choreographed dance routines (lyrical, jazz, etc.).

Instructors Notes: Leggings, dance shorts, tanks, or leotards recommended. No footed tights, jewelry, jeans, or clothing with zippers/metal buttons/snaps. Hair pulled back and secured.

 

Instructor approval required for intermediate levels. Class may be shortened if fewer than 3 students attend. Younger students may be accepted—instructor approval required.

Program fees are based off a 3-week month (weeks 4 & 5 are free!). No make-ups, pro-rated or discounted rates will be offered for any reason including late enrollment, illness, snow days and/or holidays. Monthly fees must be paid prior to the first day of class every month—no exceptions.
