Meet Michele & Kelly

Kelly Vento 

Owner & Artistic Director

 

 

Kelly Vento has an extensive background in dance beginning at the young age of 3. She has worked and taught in various capacities including soloist, dancer, instructor and choreographer for more than twenty years.  Previously, Ms. Vento had been affiliated with the Lake Arrowhead School of Dance, and had taught dance and Pilates at the UCLA Conference Center and has worked as a choreographer for the Miss San Bernardino and Miss America Organizations. In 2004, Ms. Vento was certified by Dance Masters of America and in 2006 became a Certified Pilates Instructor by Body Arts & Science International.  She has been trained in a variety of dance genres by internationally renowned dance professionals including Kim Maselli (Fame), Joyce Hurley (NBC New York) and Patrick Frantz (Premier Danseur with Paris Opera Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet).  Ms. Vento has been actively involved in local communities both in Ventura County in the early 1990's, and in the San Bernardino Mountain communities after moving here in 1996.   In 2013, Kelly Vento partnered with Michele Bryer to form Arrowhead MotionArts.

Michele Bryer took her first Ballet class at the age of six in San Juan Capistrano and began gymnastics shortly after. Ms. Bryer continued training with the Campos Dance Studio located in Lake Elsinore in Tap, Jazz and Ballet genres. After re-locating to the San Bernardino Mountains, she continued her advanced dance training through her teens at Our Mountain School of Dance in Crestline, CA. Shortly after completing her training, Ms. Bryer was hired as manager and head instructor at Showbiz Enterprizes (eventually known as the Blue Jay Performing Arts Center).  She taught Gymnastics, Acting and Dance classes (Tap, Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary). As a college student, Ms. Bryer worked on stage and behind the scenes with both the CSUSB Theater Department and Mirror Images Theater/Dance Troupe and took several classes including Ballroom, Contemporary, Lyrical and Modern Dance. 

 

Ms. Bryer holds two B.A.Degrees in Business Administration (one in Marketing and another in Accounting) from California State University, San Bernardino and Foothill College. She worked for over ten years as an advertising executive before leaving her job to focus on her young family. Currently she is a Certified Tax Preparer and continues to work as a media consultant for an L.A. based advertising agency while pursuing her goal toward becoming a CPA. 

 

For over a decade, Ms. Bryer has coached teams for the AAU (Junior Olympics) and has participated as a "Head Judge" at regional competitions. Her teams always earn numerous medals. For the past 25 years, she has volunteered her time and expertise toward teaching at various after-school non-profit dance and gymnastic programs and has recently begun her own "FitKids" program in the San Bernardino mountains. Since 2008, Ms. Bryer has been coaching gymnastics and acrobatic dance classes in addition to teaching ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop and broadway musical classes through Rim of the World Recreation and Park District. In 2009, she was instrumental in obtaining a grant for funding to begin the dance program at ROWRPD before initiating her own non-profit organization in 2016 with Kelly Vento. Three years prior to that, Michele Bryer and Kelly Vento partnered together to form Arrowhead MotionArts.
